Video: Join us for an Ethiopian coffee ceremony

Join us for an Ethiopian coffee ceremony with our member farmers in Ethiopia. The coffee ceremony is a ritualized way of roasting, grinding, and brewing coffee. It is a unique element of Ethiopian, Arab and Eritrean cultures.

Each step of the process is carefully completed by hand – from roasting the green coffee beans over the fire; to grinding the roasted beans by hand with a mortar and pestle; to brewing the grounds in a jebena, the traditional Ethiopian coffee pot. The result is a deliciously fresh brew of handcrafted coffee.

Try our Ethiopian coffee for yourself! Explore coffees from our Ethiopian member farmers.
